Here is the full program of exhibitions:

Paris Pallady

The Paris Pallady exhibition presents works inspired and performed during Theodor Pallady’s period in Paris, but also works of Henri Matisse from Musée de L’Oragerie and Musée Henri Matisse – Départment du Nord.

Theodor Pallady (1871–1956) He started his engineering studies at Polytechnic in Dresden, but changed his trajectory to the Academy of Fine Arts in Paris, where he had a mentor to Gustave Moreau and famous colleagues like Henri Matisse, Marquet and Rouault. Paris was also the place where Pallady tied a close friendship with Henri Matisse, this being the occasion of the two in the Exhibition at Art Safari.

“Paris is the only paradise of Pallady’s inner life, the perfect shell, in which seemingly good rituals are performed, repeated to infinity – reading, watching the window, smoking and coffee, contemplation of flowers and women, walks around the house, on the banks of the Seine: in short, life, for many of us. We have it, which can be lived with inspiration, grace and serenity.says Erwin Kessler, historian and art critic.

Enescu and Minotaur

The exhibition proposes an emotional foray into the destiny of a genius, giving the public a visual and symbolic interpretation of George Enescu, shaped by the great attempts of the 20th century, true “minotals” of history: World War, World War II and communism. George Enescu’s biography sails under the times with an unlikely, so miraculous: from Liveni, a village from northern Moldova, to Paris, where his “Oedip” opera has the premiere at Palais Garnier.

A retrospective look at 70 years after passing into eternity cannot avoid the presentation of George Enescu’s importance: why is (so) important to Romania? What is his place in the world? The present exhibition answers these questions and tells the story of a fundamental personality of the Romanian culture. “Classic” music is a product of western European civilization, more idiomatic than any other art. The mere fact that Romania has an internationally recognized composer – even claimed by the French culture – validates, together with the Latin origin of the Romanian language, our European identity.

Cone event held under the aegis of the George Enescu International Festival, organized in partnership with Artaxim – the organizer of the George Enescu Festival and International Competition, the “George Enescu” Philharmonic, the National Museum “George Enescu”, the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Agerpres and the National Archives of Romania, with the support of Rompetrol. The exhibition scenography is signed by Diana Nicolaie, and the “Minoturi” installation by Alexandru Rădvan.

Young Blood 5.0. Hello, Math!

Contemporary art and mathematics are more related disciplines than it seems. The exhibition curated by Călina Coman proposes a reading by which mathematics becomes an auxiliary tool to look, highlighting how proportions, geometry and harmony can give rise to visual beauty. At the same time, it can be seen as an underline of the triumph of science, as a landmark of truth in an era of misinformation, inviting the public to rediscover the power of knowledge.

“The exhibition brings together a selection of works of the contemporary scene, which operates in a mobile perpetuum. Far from establishing a dominant aesthetic, these works can be discovered, by freely following, by a movement similar to the finger, the formal tensions and attitudes that envelop, at first sight, the object of self,”declares the curator of the exhibition, Călina Coman.
