The permanent reunited offices (BPR) of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate decided that on Monday, July 7, 2025, starting at 3:00 pm, a joint meeting of the two Chambers of Parliament will take place, to discuss and vote to assume the Government liability on the fiscal package intended to reduce the budget deficit.
The government led by Prime Minister Ilie Bolojan approved on Friday, July 4, the first fiscal package in order to reduce the budget deficit, despite the negative advisory notice received on the same day from the Economic and Social Council (ESC).
“We propose that after the Government meeting we will submit this project to the Parliament, and at the latest on Tuesday, the date of ECOFIN meeting, to enter the last part of the parliamentary procedure to assume liability, after taking over the amendments and analyzing them in the Government meeting that will be organized at the beginning of next week,” said Ilie Bolojan on Friday.
Here, now, the permanent reunited offices (BPR) of the Chamber of Deputies and the Senate have decided that the meeting would take place on the first day of next week.
