The Constitutional Court of Romania (CCR) rejected, on Monday, the appeals of Mircea Geoană – independent presidential candidate – against two decisions of the Central Electoral Bureau (BEC) from September.

It is about Central Electoral Bureau Decision 4/D/24.09.2024, respectively Decision 12/D/30.09.2024 regarding the establishment of electoral bureaus in the presidential elections and the accreditation procedure for delegates of political formations that participate in elections and do not have representatives in the Electoral Bureau , according to Agerpres.
The constitutional judges rejected, also on Monday, the appeals against the registration of the candidates in the presidential race for Marcel Ciolacu, Nicolae Ciucă and Mircea Geoană.
The appeals against the non-registration of the candidacies of Diana Iovanovici Şoşoacă and Ion Popa in the elections for the President of Romania were also rejected.
