The study revealed that the most accessible European destination for a city break in 2025 is Milan. According to the research, a 3 -night stay in the Italian fashion capital, with flights, costs around 290 euros per person, reports the Daily Mail.
The city in northern Italy impresses not only by low prices, but also by world -renowned attractions such as the Milan Dom, the famous painting “The Last Supper ” of Leonardo da Vinci and the elegant boutiques in the fashion district.
“It is a surprise to see Milan at the top of the ranking for the cheapest city breaks, given its luxurious reputation. But in 2025, it offers an excellent value for money”, Said Steph Marinkovic, head of the editorial department of Travelsuplermarket.
Eastern Europe dominates the ranking
In the second place in the top of the most accessible cities is Prague, where a three -night flight with flight included costs about 332 euros. The most expensive city break destinations
At the opposite pole, New York turns out to be the most expensive destination for a city break, with a cost of about 1122 euros. In Europe, most of them will be out of pocket the tourists who choose Dubrovnik, where a mini-vacation costs 602 euros. On the list of expensive cities are Venice (533 euros), Rome (490 euros), Sevilia (485 euros), Lisbon (477 euros), Marrabich (470 euros), Paris (468 euros), Amsterdam (465 euros) and Barcelona (463 euros).
“The data clearly show that tourists looking for advantageous holidays should consider less obvious cities. Eastern European destinations continue to be excellent in terms of value for money ”adds Marinkovic. She also says that the beginning of spring and the summer season are ideal moments for city breaks, due to the comfortable temperatures that allow the exploration of cities at a step.
In addition to this top, another recent study has revealed which are the most expensive countries in the world for tourists, and the surprise is that the Maldives are not in the first three.
