The concerts of the past year and what is to come in 2026. Russell Crowe will perform in Bucharest and Timișoara

2025 was the year when names such as Ricky Martin, Jennifer Lopez or Justin Timberlake performed in Romania. And lovers of modern opera enjoyed voices such as Andrea Bocelli or Jose Careras. Instead, 2026 is being announced as a rock year: Metallica and Iron Maiden will return to Bucharest. Lovers of other music genres will not be forgotten either. Richard Clayderman, Chris Isaak and Greek star Konstantinos Argiros will also perform in Romania. The surprise of the year, however, is represented by the two concerts of the actor Russell Crowe.

Who sang in Romania in 2025

One of the most anticipated concerts of the year was that of Justin Timberlake. However, his performance on stage at Electric Castle, in rainy and cold weather, disappointed many fans. A few days later, in a post on Instagram, Timberlake would confess that things are not easy for him, because of a medical diagnosis: Lyme disease.

“I’m not saying this to make you feel sorry for me — but to shed some light on what I faced behind the scenes. If you suffer from this disease or know someone who is battling it, then you know that living with it can be extremely demanding, both mentally and physically.” wrote the pop star.

Those who went to the Untold festival saw for the first time in Romania the English singer Rag’n’Bone Man (interpreter of the hit Human) and Post Malone.

Also at the festival, but at Summer Well, bands like Snow Patrol or Empire of the Sun played. And the rapper of Palestinian origin Saint Levant made a sensation.

At Beach Please, the headliners were the American rappers A$AP Rocky, Swa Lee and Wiz Khalifa, who was also sentenced to 9 months in prison after the concert in Romania. The Neversea Festival was not held again in 2025.

On July 27, in Constitution Square, Romanians enjoyed a Jennifer Lopez show for the first time. The praises flowed after the concert. Fans have praised her performance for many years in the 56 years that “Jenny from the block” has.

Autumn came with the Unforgettable Festival, which brought back to Bucharest, on the stage in front of the Palace of Parliament, the tenors Andrea Bocelli and Jose Careras, but also the beloved Greek artist Nikos Vertis.

The musical year ended in the best possible way: on December 16, Ricky Martin performed in Bucharest. The Latin artist impressed with the energy and the huge joy with which he sang, and the fans are now hoping for another show in Romania.

“Gladiator” will perform in Bucharest in 2026

And the year 2026 promises to be full of musical events. Perhaps the most surprising name is that of the actor Russel Crowe, who will bring his musical project: Indoor Garden Party to Romania. The star of “Gladiator” will have two concerts: one in Bucharest, at Sala Palatului, on July 4 and another in Timișoara, in the Parcul Rozelor, on July 26. Crowe also offered a demonstration of his musical talent in “Les Miserables”, the 2012 screen adaptation of Victor Hugo’s famous novel.

Metallica and Iron Maiden return to Bucharest

Rock fans have a lot to be excited about this year, and May will be theirs. Metallica will return to Bucharest on May 13, in a concert at the National Arena, as part of the M72 World Tour. Tickets have already sold out since last year.

Also in May, and also at the National Arena, the British Iron Maiden will also perform, as part of the “Run For Your Lives” anniversary tour, dedicated to the 50 years of their career. The show will take place on May 28, and tickets are still available here.

And the Americans from Skillet will perform in Bucharest, on May 12, at the Roman Arena.

Chris Isaak, for the first time in Romania

American singer Chris Isaak will come to Romania for the first time. The performer of the hit Wicked Games will perform on June 23, at Sala Palatului. Ticket prices start at 170 lei.
