Gheboasă was fined on August 8, 2023, after he sang a song with obscene lyrics, and thousands of young people hummed it at the Untold festival. The sanction applied amounted to 1,000 lei. What the artist said about the fine he received
Gheboasa claimed that the fine received from the gendarmes is “racism, racial hatred”.
“How to do racism, I love gypsies, I represent gypsies. The gendarmes fined me for my beautiful eyes. In the comments are the most racist insults to me, it’s racial hatred“, said Gheboasă, in 2023, following the fine received.
“I find it outrageous that only I receive a fine of 1,000 lei. I won’t pay it, I’m contesting it in court. It’s race hatred and racism towards me. If the law applied to everyone, others who were at Untold should also be fined. It’s racism“, he added.

Gheboasa caused great controversy after she sang a song with obscene lyrics, and thousands of young people hummed it. “Give her the gypsy/Break the bank/Oh, what a beautiful gypsy/How she shakes her head/Horror movies, she’s crazy”, are just some of the lyrics of the song “Give him the gypsy” in which, in the original verses, the term is not used “jegosous”.
Other lines sung by the artist at the festival were: “Today we have drugs and p___e/No one can resist/I’m a chubby from the jungle/In the past I only pulled the bag/Now we just pull the stripe/And we make the money on the side, so that it reaches us”.
The court remained in judgment in the case of illicit drug use
Also, the trapper Gheboasă was sent to court, in May 2024, for possession of dangerous drugs for personal use. The case is being heard at the Bucharest Court, and the court is to rule on the case on January 16.
