The director dismissed by Red Bull Racing paid a huge sum and escaped the charges of sexual harassment

At the beginning of last year, Formula 1 was shaken by a special case, in which Christian Horner, Red Bull Racing’s director was dismissed, after 20 years in which he had built the Austrian team. The reason had not been revealed, but only the amount with which it had been compensated: no less than 92 million euros.

Gradually, a start to appear information, according to which the head of the builder had been accused of an “inadequate behavior” – harassment. Now, the applicant would have withdrawn her accusations in exchange for a very large amount of money, reports Lefigaro.Fr.

The scandal was permanently closed a few weeks ago. Two investigations were carried out in the team at which Max Verstappen activates, to try to clarify this situation. Horner was acquitted by the charges against him and no deed of improper conduct towards the employee was noted. The British, supported by his wife, the former Girl Geri Halliwell, has always supported his innocence in this episode that shook the world of Formula 1.

3.4 million euros compensation

The Daily Mail revealed Monday that an agreement would eventually have allowed the case to be closed. According to the British daily, the silence of the young woman would have been bought for 3.4 million euros and the obligation to leave the team once the agreement was obtained.

Christian Horner does not intend to give up Formula 1. The head of the Austrian team (between 2005 and 2025) sounded “almost” all the teams on the starting grid to re -engage, according to Andy Cowell, the director of the team Aston Martin.
