The famous chef Gordon Ramsay, on the verge of death after a serious bicycle accident: “I look like a purple potato”

Celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay was close to death after being involved in a serious bicycle accident. In a clip posted on social networks, the chef shared the nightmarish experience. “I'm a bit bruised and look like a purple potato,” he said.

In a video posted on his social media, Gordon Ramsay told of a “very serious” cycling accident in the US.

Cook said the bike accident happened earlier this week in Connecticut.

Gordon Ramsay, 57, thanked the trauma surgeons and nurses at Lawrence and Memorial Hospital who looked after him.

“This week I had a very bad accident while riding my bike in Connecticut. I'm fine and I haven't broken any bones or suffered any major injuries, but I'm a bit bruised and look like a purple potato. I am grateful for all the doctors, nurses and staff at Lawrence Hospital in New London who cared for me and consulted me, but most of all I am grateful for my life-saving helmet.” said Gordon Ramsay.
