The final results of the National Assessment were published on Thursday, July 10, 2025. The number of appeals, in the first year in which the candidates had the opportunity to view their works, was lower than last year.

The final results (after resolving the appeals), registered in the current session (June 23 – 27) of the National Assessment/EN VIII 2025, were published today, July 10, according to the calendar, on the dedicated site.

The average rate over 5 increased very little, by only 0.1%, reaching 83.2%. Instead, the number of average 10 increased to 85 (from 75). In 2024, the average rate higher than or equal to 5 (five) was 74.5%.

The participation rate was 95.6 %: 152,235 graduates of the eighth grade present out of a total of 159,229 registered graduates. Of these, 25,618 candidates (16.8%) obtained average below 5 (five). Three students were eliminated (all at the Romanian language and literature test), their works being noted with 1 (one).

At the Romanian language and literature test, 131,999 students (86.5%) ended the exam with grades greater than or equal to 5 (five). Of these, 489 students obtained note 10 (+15 in relation to the first display).

In mathematics, 116,251 students (76.3%) were noted with 5 or over 5 (five). Of these, 976 obtained grades of 10 (+57 compared to the first display).

In maternal language and literature, 8,365 students (92.3%) had grades greater than or equal to 5 (five), and 131 candidates obtained grades of 10 (+1 in relation to the first display).

Fewer challenges than in 2024

The number of appeals filed (19,101 appeals / 6.08% of the total number of works) decreased compared to 2024 (27,640 appeals / 8.76% of the number of works), the Ministry of Education and Research announces.

On the disciplines, the following distribution was recorded:

* 11,354 appeals for works on the Romanian language and literature test (14,485 – 2024)

* 355 appeals for works on the tongue and maternal literature (425 – 2024)

* 7,392 appeals for works at the math test (12,730 – 2024).

For 11,648 works (14,720 works in 2024), the reassessment following the appeals generated the change by growth, while for 5,454 works, the notes were modified by decrease (9,646 works in 2024).

At the Romanian language and literature test, in the case of 78.75% of the re -evaluated works, the difference between the initial note and the note obtained from the reassessment was below 0.5 points (in addition or minus). Of these, for 569 of the works the initial note has not been modified.

The hierarchy at the county level, published on Friday, July 11. What follows in the admission calendar

The average of admission, calculated on the basis of the results obtained at the national evaluation, constitutes a criterion for admission to high school.

On Friday, July 11, on the website admitre.edu.ro, the hierarchy at the county/Bucharest municipality of the eighth grade graduates will be published.

In the first stage of admission to this year’s state high school education, completing options in the registration sheets by the eighth-grade graduates and their parents, assisted by the eighth-grade leaders, will run from July 14 to 21. Also in these intervals are provided the completion of the registration records by the graduates of the eighth grade who want to participate in admission to another county, respectively the submission/transmission of the files, according to the procedure established by the National Admission Commission ”, announces the ministry.

The high school admission calendar includes the computerized distribution of candidates in the current series, as well as those in previous series that are not 18 years old until the beginning of the school year 2025 – 2026, on the date of July 23. Subsequently, between 24 and 29 July, The enrollment files will be submitted in the high school education units in which the candidates were assigned. The resolution of special post-repartoring special situations, at the level of the county admission commissions/the Bucharest Municipality Commission, is scheduled on July 30 and August 1.

The second stage of admission to the state high school education, reserved for students in the current series, as well as those in previous series that do not turn 18 until the date of starting the courses in the school year 2025 – 2026 takes place in the range August 1 – 19.

The National Assessment exam 2025 was held this year by 152,233 graduates of the eighth grade (out of the total of 159,229 registered graduates). The participation rate has been located in the average of the past years, however, the results recorded before the appeals were the best in the last 13 years, which will make the fight for high school places, which starts immediately after displaying the results, and fierce.

Prior to the appeals, the average rate over 5 was 83.1%, considerably higher than in 2024 (74.5%) and 2023 (76.2%).

Prior to the appeals, there were reported throughout the country 75 averages of 10. The most 10 grades were recorded, as in the past years, in mathematics – 919, while in Romanian language and literature were 474, and in the mother tongue and literature – 130.
