The federations in the pre -university education FSLI and the ESF “Spiru Haret” sent, on Wednesday, June 25, a common statement to the reform measures announced in education. The two-hour enlargement of the teaching norm seems to upset the teachers. “We have arrived for them only some figures in an accounting tab,” the teachers accuse, even talking about mobilization for major protest actions.

The measures in the government program targeting the education were conveyed longer, so the teachers were not taken by surprise. However, they had also received assurances that they will be decided following social dialogue. The unions are declaring today in disagreement with the measures announced, and the two -hour increase of the didactic norm is mentioned among the upset.
“We are undoubtedly at a crucial moment for the future of Romanian education and, implicitly, for our future, of the employees in education. What the Government and the Ministry of Education and Research propose is not only a set of political measures, but regulations that will directly influence our pay, working conditions, education and even the status and dignity of the didactic profession. “While they see themselves quiet, the political self, we force us to bear the costs of their excesses, diminishing our income. Among the measures announced is the one according to which the teaching norm of teaching with a maximum of 2 hours would increase, which we reject, given its consequences. The measure is proposed in the context in which, in the pre -university education system, there are many colleagues who, over the 18 hours of effective teaching, also have hours of remedial learning, additional training hours for competitions/Olympics, counseling hours, as well as extracurricular/extracurricular activities, for preparing the social exchanges, etc. Complete the two unions.
The statement then continues with a series of questions addressed to the governors, in which the latter are questioned on the theme of tax evasion to which are not ended, of the employers “on the piles”, the special pensions, the expensive travel of the politicians, of the states settled by the state for the same politicians, of the cars bought, etc.

“Fragmentation and apathy will not benefit us”
The message continues with a call to solidarity and unity addressed to colleagues in education. “Our power lies in unity and common actions. Fragmentation and apathy will not benefit us. Now is the time to be more solid than ever, to set aside any minor divergences and to focus on the common goal: a quality education, respectfully respected and financed ”, I say the leaders. Scholarship cuts, increase in norm, increase in number of students in class

The regulation of scholarships will be changed because “the spectacular growth of the past years cannot be supported.
“Educational merger” will also be operated on, and the didactic norm will increase by maximum two hours. “I will propose that the values established by the law can be increased by maximum 2 hours, by a methodology of the ministry, according to various criteria (eg: how fragmented is the norm, the working environment, the age, the number of children with CES in the class), which I will discuss with the social dialogue partners.
