Ciprian Ciucu, the first vice-president of the PNL, considers the initiative launched by the opposition to submit a censorship motion a “gross irresponsibility, which will have an immediate negative effect on Romania”.

“I call on responsibility because we already have a president left. Many eyes in the civilized world wonder what is happening here. To start now and the government seems to me a gross irresponsibility, which will have an immediate negative effect on Romania and I refer to international scholarships, to the international financial market that Romania is dependent.”Ciprian Ciucu told Digi24.
Also, the Liberal said he hopes “that the pro-European parliamentarians will have their minds” and vote against.
“It is the time for USR to do what is responsible for the country. After the president has left, to fall to the government, it seems to me a very big mistake because he throws us in the same situation that Bolojan, we and others are trying to avoid.
It seems to me a worrying irresponsibility to start to dismantle the Government of Romania which, it is true, is on a fragile majority, one week, two after the president left. They want to govern, to say it. Because it is easy to sit in opposition, just speak, attack, criticize,”Said Ciucu.
On Monday, shortly after Iohannis announced his resignation as president, the opposition announces the initiation of procedures for submitting a censorship motion.
George Simion, the leader of the gold, said he started gathering signatures, and about those who do not sign, he said they are “traitors”.
“The next step on the parliamentary line will be the deposit of a censorship motion against the Ciolacu government, appointed by this illegitimate president (…). We submit the censorship motion next week. We are waiting for the same decent reaction from Marcel Ciolacu: to leave ”said George Simion.
The leader of the USR deputies, Ionuț Moșteanu, said that his party will support a censorship motion only when the future parliamentary majority will be known after the Government’s fall.
