The tribute show “Andreescu – The Magazine Tree”, dedicated to the famous Aurelian Andreescu – one of the most valuable vocal soloists that Romanian light music had, had its premiere at the “Constantin Tănase” Magazine Theater in Bucharest on April 6, the following performance being Saturday, May 18, 2024, 7:00 p.m.

The show brings to the fore the life of the exceptional performer, his artistic career and his legendary voice and translates through music, dance and acting moments, the tumult of his creative soul.
Aurelian Andreescu debuted on the stage of the Savoy Hall of the “Constantin Tănase” Magazine Theater in 1965. For years, his unique voice could be applauded here in numerous Magazine performances.
“The show is one of Magazine and, at the same time, one of theater, faithfully respecting the hierarchy of events in Ale's life – as his close friends used to say,” says the director of the show, Alin Gheorghișan.
“It's a show with good music, with hits and famous songs from the great artist's repertoire, but also with lesser-known, but equally beautiful pieces. Many of the theater moments that you will see belong to the director Alexandru Bocăneț, but the texts are adapted to the glory period in which he produced the famous entertainment shows that had as protagonists: Anda Călugăreanu, Toma Caragiu, Doina Badea, Alexandru Arșinel and Aurelian Andreescu. The behind-the-scenes tidbits are also brought before the public, from the “little” that is known about the artist's private life. The show develops on three plans: that of the stage at the Savoy, where the artist played in the Magazine shows, that of the bar, whether it was «Atlantic», «Melody» or «Continental», and the plan of Alexandru's television set Bocanet. The transitions are made from one plane to another, like in an emotional roller coaster that keeps you on your toes, because that's how his life was, like a real roller coaster”added the director.
