At the “Saint Pantelimon” Hospital, a vascular surgery department with three doctors was operating with good results, who, one day a week, on Saturdays, covered the guard all over Bucharest. At this time, none of these doctors are available because one of them reportedly suffered a heart attack, another has left the hospital, and the third is on unpaid leave.
Unofficial sources told Pro TV News that one of the doctors working in the cardiovascular surgery department is the husband of one of the doctors arrested in the suspicious deaths scandal.
Due to the lack of staff, by an order of the Ministry of Health, the medical unit will leave the vascular surgery program in Bucharest. Thus, the cases that appear and arrived on Saturday at “Saint Pantelimon” will be taken over by the Emergency Clinical Hospital “Prof. Dr. Agrippa Ionescu”, from Balotești, also known as the SRI Hospital.
Initially, there were rumors that the one who will take over the guards from “St. Spiridon” will be the Floreasca Hospital, but its representatives wanted to clarify the situation through a press release.
“Following the order issued by the Minister of Health, on 2.08.2024, the Bucharest Emergency Clinical Hospital (Floreasca) wishes to clarify the situation regarding the reception of patients who, in an emergency, would have been redirected by the “Saint Pantelimon” Hospital.
We understand the concerns related to the reception of patients of the Saint Pantelimon Hospital, however, according to the order issued by the Minister of Health, this task falls to the SRI Hospital, which was appointed to manage the reception of these patients.
Our hospital continues to operate according to the established schedule and capacity, given our mission to provide emergency care to all patients who arrive at our facility, and if necessary, we will also take on new patients.
We want to assure the public opinion and patients that we remain dedicated to our mission and that we carry out our activity in an organized and well-coordinated framework, respecting the directives of the Ministry of Health and collaborating closely with all health units”, it is stated in the press release issued by the Floreasca Hospital.
