The Central Electoral Bureau ruled on Sunday evening in relation to the second application for registration of Diana Şoşoacă’s candidacy for the position of President of Romania. Nine other applications were rejected.

BEC decided, in the meeting on Sunday evening, to reject the registration of several candidacies submitted in the last 48 hours, including the second one submitted by Diana Iovanovici-Şoşoacă, according to Antena3.
After the Constitutional Court admitted, on Saturday, with a majority of votes, the appeals filed by two people and annulled the Decision of the Central Electoral Bureau no. 18/D of October 3, 2024 regarding the registration of the candidacy and the electoral sign of Diana Iovanovici-Şoşoacă in the presidential elections, she submitted her candidacy again, on Saturday evening, at 11.50 p.m., under the conditions that the deadline for submitting candidacies followed to expire at midnight.
During Sunday’s meeting, however, the Central Electoral Bureau rejected as inadmissible the registration of Diana Iovanovici-Şoşoacă’s candidacy.
BEC adopted the following decisions:
* the decision regarding the rejection of the application registration Diana Iovanovici-Sosoacă in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the application registration Elena Tufeciu in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the registration of his candidacy Gheorghe Ghelceaindependent candidate in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the registration of his independent candidacy Ion Popa in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the application registration Cristina Tufănoiu in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the application registration Oana Crețu in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the registration of his independent candidacy Ciprian Romeo Mega in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the registration of his independent candidacy Petru Mîndru in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the registration of his candidacy Răzvan-Nicolae Constantinescu in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024;
* the decision regarding the rejection of the application registration Maria Marcu in the elections for the president of Romania in 2024.
