The young woman, awarded at national level, warns that the measure risks disagreeing Romania’s values and appeals to respecting the school performance. Although he recognizes the financial difficulties that the country goes through, the Olympic raises the question whether the decision to remove the scholarships will bring real long -term benefits.
“I think that a country should be proud of its culture, its spiritual values, by the brilliance of its students at national and international level. Therefore, when we make a decision, we should take a look to the future. Our students will feel appreciated, will they want, after completing the studies, I can not answer, long? ”writes the student.
This proposes that the new criteria for granting the scholarships enter into force only from the 2026-2027 school year, so that the students who have already worked to represent Romania are not affected.
“Do you really think it is appropriate to take the reward now, on the summer vacation, after they have struggled to bring a splash of light to this country?”the young woman asks.
At the end of the letter, the Olympics addresses a direct call to the Minister of Education, pleading for the recognition of sacrifice and school performance.
“Let’s value, minister, performance, because performance must remain performance! Let’s value education, let’s value life, as” education is not the preparation for life, it is life itself. ” the sacrifice. ”
The young woman, who won the first prize at the National Olympiad “Reading as a skill” in the 6th grade, in May 2025, reminds that school performance should not be ignored.
