The Minister of Education, Daniel David, sent a message on Sunday on the occasion of the opening of the school year 2025 – 2026.

“I see now, when the children are preparing to return to school, that there are still some questions and concerns generated by the effects of the trade union movement. As I said, as a parent and minister I believe that the school is primarily of children, so we are waiting for them on Monday. The trade union actions, all the teachers have, in their turn, not only legal, but especially moral, the duty towards the students and, as I know, I am convinced that they will honor it ”is shown in a message of the minister, posted on the ministry’s website.
He added that he is aware of the dissatisfaction with the fiscal-budgetary measures and has complied with the protests initiated by the unions, but he believes that they should be used not to block our education system, but to build measures and reforms to bring to all a quality education system.
“So, let’s all see each other at school, and in parallel I invite you (and I will formally invite the representatives of all the actors in education) to make a team to build on the difficulties we want.”Daniel David said.
The message comes in the context in which the President of the Federation “Spiru Haret ”Marius Nistor, announced on Saturday, September 6, that following a referendum it will be decided whether Tuesday the teachers will protest on the street or in schools.
Marius Nistor thanked the parents who go out to Victoriei Square and, to those who do not know whether to send their children to school on September 8, he recommended them to “Listen to what civil society and trade union organizations say”.
