The Minister of Education, Daniel David, says that although “we received many messages to cancel the oral tests from BAC” from January, will not change the calendar of exams that are organized for the first time during the school year.
“We have received many messages to cancel these trials. There will be some guides to help those in schools organize this well”said Daniel David, at Euronews, according to edupedu.ro.
“Thinking now to change is foolish. We have children enrolled. To stop the ongoing process… a responsible minister does not do that,” the Minister of Education also said.
12th grade students will take the baccalaureate skills tests starting January 27. It is the first time in recent years that proficiency tests are held during the school year.
The 2025 Baccalaureate exam begins on January 27, with the oral tests:
- January 27-29, 2025: Assessment of oral communication skills in Romanian – test A
- January 29-31, 2025: Assessment of oral communication skills in the mother tongue – test B
- 3-5 February 2025: Assessment of language skills in a language of international circulation – test C
- 5-7 February 2025: Assessment of digital skills – test D.
BAC 2025. Complete exam calendar
The 2025 Baccalaureate exam begins in January with the skills tests and ends in June with the written tests, according to the Ministry of Education:
- December 16-20, 2024: Registration of candidates to take tests A, B, C, D of the national baccalaureate exam – 2025
- January 27-29, 2025: Assessment of oral communication skills in Romanian – test A
- January 29-31, 2025: Assessment of oral communication skills in the mother tongue – test B
- 3-5 February 2025: Assessment of language skills in a language of international circulation – test C
- 5-7 February 2025: Assessment of digital skills – test D
- May 30-June 4, 2025: Taking tests A, B, C, D for students receiving scholarships to study abroad
- June 2-6, 2025: Registration of candidates for the written tests of the first exam session
- June 6, 2025: End of classes for the 12th/13th grade
- June 10, 2025: Romanian language and literature – test Ea) – written test
- June 11, 2025: Mandatory profile test – Ec test) – written test
- June 13, 2025: Test of choice of profile and specialization – Ed test) – written test
- June 16, 2025: Mother tongue and literature – test Eb) – written test
- June 20, 2025: Displaying the results of the written tests, viewing the written work and submitting appeals
