“Starting today, all expenses related to the foreign trips of the Minister of Investments and European Projects are public on the institution’s website. And not just my expenses, but the expenses of all the ministers in the last 5 years. We are the first ministry to take this initiative because only through transparency can we rebuild the relationship of trust between institutions and citizens”Minister Dragoş Pîslaru announced in a post published on his Facebook page.

He showed that, in his mandate, the costs of his travels are six times lower than before.

“What you will find in my mandate: the costs of the minister’s trips are now 6 times lower than before; in almost all cases I used economy flights and low-cost companies; I reduced the “delegations” to a minimum – I was accompanied only when the situation required it; there were circumstances when I paid for part of the flights myself”explained Pîslaru.

He mentioned that the data will be updated throughout his mandate.

“It’s easy to be transparent when you have absolutely nothing to hide”he added.

According to the minister, the information is public on the website of the Ministry of Investments and European Projects.
