The Minister of Transport, Ciprian Șerban, announces that the port of Constanța is going through a large modernization process, by completing the extension of the access road to the southern dam and starting the capital repairs to the upper passage from Moluri 3, 4 and 5.

In a message distributed on Wednesday, September 24, on his Facebook page, Minister Ciprian Șerban announced the completion of the works to expand the adjacent road to the Southern Port of Constanta, a project meant to fluidize the traffic and to increase the road safety, but also to continue the modernization works.
“Today I was visited in Constanța Port, together with Horațiu Cosma, coordinating state secretary, and Mihai Teodorescu, the general director of the port of Constanța, to verify the stage of modernization works. The Port of Constanța strengthens its position of regional logistics hub by completing the expansion of the adjacent road to the South Dig. 3, 4 and 5. These investments, financed entirely from the funds of the National Company of Constanta Maritime Ports, bring a new breath to the port infrastructure ”, the minister wrote on his Facebook page.
The road, extended on a length of 1.7 kilometers, includes an additional 4.5 meter tape and allows the four -lane traffic through gate 14. According to the same source, the work, carried out by the association Heilbronn Produkt SRL – Building Design 2000 Top SRL, lasted ten months and had a value of over 4 million lei.
Capital repairs to the passage built in 1984
In parallel, the Ministry of Transport started the rehabilitation works of the upper passage that connects the molluscs 3, 4 and 5. built in 1984, the passage now enters a large process of capital repairs, after almost four decades of intense operation.
“This passage, built in 1984, enters a large rehabilitation process, essential after decades of intense exploitation. The project of over 37 million lei, carried out by the association Heilbronn Produkt SRL – SC G&M Road Building Engineering SRL, will extend the life of the construction, ensuring the safe and comfortable traffic over the roads. Initiatives reflect the commitment of Constanta Port for a modern infrastructure, which supports the economic development and connectivity of the region ”, explained Ciprian Șerban.
The value of the project exceeds 37 million lei and aims not only for strengthening the resistance structure, but also creating better circulation conditions for vehicles transiting the port area.
