The Ministry of Education offers the “correct interpretation” of the project regarding the total number of positions in the state pre -university education

The Ministry of Education sent an information on the “correct interpretation” of the project to amend the Government Decision no. 731/2024, subject to public consultation, a project establishing the total number of positions in the state pre -university education this school year.

According to the ministry, as a result of the discussions in the public space regarding the draft Government Decision recently subject to public consultation by the Ministry of Education and Research, through which the total number of positions in the state pre -university education in the school year 2025 – 2026, is updated and establishes. “The following details are required to avoid erroneous interpretations”:

“The difference between the total number of positions in the school year 2024 – 2025 (provided in annex no. 4 of GD 731/2024) and the total number of positions proposed for this school year is given by the reduction by almost 50% of the positions temporarily occupied in the payment regime, under the conditions of applying the fiscal -budgetary measures. Holders, while the number of rules occupied for a fixed period (with qualified substitute teachers) remained relatively constant ”

“No positions of holders were canceled in the education system, but only free norms”

Therefore, the ministry states “No positions of holders were canceled in the education system, but only free, unoccupied norms, the hours within these norms being redistributed in the norms of the teachers increased by the 2 hours/week ”.

The fiscal-budgetary measures have been implemented without affecting the positions of the holders or their salaries (as they appear in the pay grid) are shown in the indormulation.
