The Ministry of Health announces the establishment of the Obesity Management Center at the “CI Parhon” Institute

The Minister of Health, Alexandru Rogobete, announced on Tuesday the establishment of the Obesity Management Center within the National Institute of Endocrinology “CI Parhon”dedicated “those who need a correct, coherent and long-term medical approach”.

“Obesity is one of the most serious medical challenges today, through the chain effects it produces – on people’s health and on the pressure on the healthcare system. The lack of integrated intervention means complications, higher costs and preventable suffering. This center is a solution built responsibly. The condition is approached interdisciplinary, with the involvement of specialists in endocrinology, nutrition, diabetes, cardiology, psychology and, when necessary, bariatric surgery”the Minister of Health wrote on his Facebook page.

According to him, it involves complete assessment, personalized treatment plans, long-term monitoring and health education and prevention programs.

“Not just one-off intervention, but a correct medical path, from diagnosis to follow-up of the patient over time”added Minister Alexandru Rogobete.

He also mentioned that this initiative is responding “a real and growing need, using existing competence and organizing it efficiently”and its benefits are clear: faster access to integrated services, correct diagnosis, coordinated treatment, reduced risk of complications and a better quality of life for patients.

“For people, this center means a place where they are listened to, professionally evaluated and supported in the long term. Each new center means a concrete step forward for the health of Romanians”concluded Alexandru Rogobete.
