“It was a joy to work on the last part of this trilogy, together with a team with whom I have crossed other complicated but beautiful projects. I prepared the film for more than a year, I knew it would be a complex journey, but I like challenges like this, where at the end of the road the satisfaction is great. It is increasingly difficult to make period films, to find well-preserved spaces that evoke a certain period, but we managed to bring to the lens the atmosphere that Stere Gulea wanted and close this loop in time of the Moromet family. We want the film to reach as many people as possible, in as many places as possible, and the absence of cinemas in many cities does not scare us anymore, unfortunately we have become accustomed to adding to the difficulty of making a film and the weight of bringing it to the public. “said Oana Bujgoi Giurgiu, the film’s producer.

The action of Moromete 3 takes place in 1954, a trying year for Niculae Moromete who becomes overwhelmed by the tumultuous love with a married woman, the crisis of political consciousness and the loss of confidence in the literary guild. The providential appearance in his life of a young poet offers him a way out of his professional and personal dilemmas, inspiring him to publish the novel Moromeții.
The Gala premiere of Moromeții 3, scheduled for November 13 in the Ion Caramitru Hall of the Bucharest National Theatre, is already sold out just a few days after its announcement. The film will officially release in theaters across the country on November 22.
