“Top 100 geniuses in life”
Hans Zimmer is a film music composer and music producer who won two Oscar awards, a BAFTA award, five Grammy Awards and has been nominated for three Emmy Awards and a Tony award. In 2007, he was included in the list “Top 100 geniuses in life”.
His works are known for combining the sounds of electronic music with traditional orchestral arrangements. Since the 1980s, Zimmer has composed music for over 150 films. He received two Oscar awards for the best original soundtrack – for The Lion King (1994) and Dune (2021).
His best -known works include: Gladiator (2000), The Last Samurai (2003), Pirates series from the Caribbean (2006–2011), The Dark Knight (2005–2012), Inception (2010), Interstellar (2014), Dunkirk (2017), No Time to Die (2021) and the Dune Series (from 2021).
At the beginning of his career, Zimmer worked in the UK, then moved to the United States. He is the director of the Dreamworks Pictures and Dreamworks Animation studios and collaborates with other composers through his company. Estimates suggest that he earns between $ 1 and $ 2 million for each movie. This is only an indicative estimate, because its real fee depends on factors such as the film budget, the complexity of the soundtrack and if it is necessary to hire musicians.
The balance between monumental and lyrical elements
The musical style proposed by Hans Zimmer has redefined the cinematic experience, being characterized by dynamic rhythms, dark tones and lyrical songs, the music being great and deep at the same time. For this reason, the July 4 concert will illustrate the balance between the monumental and lyrical elements through the dialogue between two instruments. The violin-violoncel duo will bring a new, intimate light on these huge film compositions, but preserving their dramatic strength. The works of the famous composer will be interpreted by Gáspár Csaba (violin) and Tóth-Györbiró APOR (cello)-in an intimate but powerful room.
