The Netflix series that caused a stir: “I finished it in one night” VIDEO

A new thriller series has taken Netflix by storm, with many viewers claiming to have finished it in a “night”. It's about “A Killer Paradox” and it enjoys an impressive score of 100% on Rotten Tomatoes and 91% on Audience Score, according to the Daily Mail.

“A Killer Paradox” tells the story of a student who kills a stranger, but soon discovers that the victim was, in fact, a serial killer. The South Korean crime drama stars SAG Award winner Choi Woo-shik, as well as Son Suk-ku and Lee Hee-jun. It was directed by Lee Chang Hee and written by Kim Da Min.

Actor Choi Woo-shik is best known for his role in the Oscar-winning film Parasite.

Although the protagonist could have done society a favor by taking a serial killer off the streets, he still has to try to avoid being arrested. This proves to be no easy task as a Homicide detective is determined to find out the truth.

The series premiered on Netflix on Friday, February 9, and each episode is about an hour long.

Worth watching. The show is a cut above the usual shows or movies with soulless killers killing criminals (eg Dexter or Hannibal),” one person wrote on Rotten Tomatoes.

Fans also praised the series on LADbible's Netflix Bangers Facebook group, calling it “fantastic” and “captivating“.

I finished it in one night”one netizen wrote.

Praise also flowed on X (formerly Twitter). “I have seen the whole series 'A killer paradox', I will wait patiently for season 2'”, stated a user of Elon Musk's platform.

Streaming platform Netflix has not announced when or if a second season will appear.

At a recent press conference, Choi Woo-shik described his character as “someone who justifies his crimes in himself because he targets people who are evil“.

However, he was keen to point out: “I believe that killing cannot be justified at all. If only I had the power to identify bad people like Tang does (n.red the character he interprets), I wouldn't go kill them, but I would definitely report them to the police“.

In recent years, Korean productions have been very successful on Netflix, with series such as 'Squid Game', 'All of Us are Dead', 'Hellbound' and 'Extraordinary Attorney Woo' The Extraordinary Lawyer Woo”, which conquered the international audience.
