Ronald Koeman’s team started strongly and settled much of the equation of the match from the first half. Brian Brobbey scored twice (minutes 5 and 17) and the Swedes also had a goal disallowed for offside before the break.

Upon returning from the locker room, Cody Gakpo also scored a brace in a short span of time (47th and 54th minutes) to make it 4-0. Anthony Elanga reduced the deficit for the Northerners, but Holland had the final say, Summerville making it 5-1 with a shot from the edge of the box.

Although Sweden relied on offensive players such as Viktor Gyokeres and Anthony Elanga, the team trained by Graham Potter could not find solutions to stop the attacks of the Dutch, who clearly dominated the game played in Houston.
