The leader of the PSD Constanța county organization, Senator Felix Stroe, announced on Friday his resignation from the management of the branch he has been leading since 2015, citing that he resorted to this gesture for personal reasons.
“Today, during the meeting of the Permanent Bureau, I submitted my mandate as president of the Constanta Social Democratic County Organization – a branch that I have been leading since June 2015. Each time I was elected – in three County Conferences -, never appointed by the central leadership of the party. I carried out my activity as the president of the organization with maximum responsibility and involvement, even when my state of health was deeply affected”it is stated in a press release quoted by Agerpres.
He said that he remains a member of the PSD and will fulfill his duties related to the Romanian Parliament, being constantly concerned with the problems of Constanța County.
“I made the decision for personal reasons; no one asked me to and no pressure was put on me! It is a gesture of personal will, made at the end of a stage and the beginning of a new one. I made this decision with the satisfaction of the fact that the branch registered an indisputable success in the elections in Lumina and Dobromir. The Social Democrats managed to convince the people and win their trust. I am convinced that PSD Constanța will find the energy and determination to continue at this pace and, finally, to win the elections of 2028. Although at the electoral conference in the autumn of 2023 I received a new four-year mandate – with a percentage of 84% -, I decided to submit it, having the firm conviction that, at the age of 70, a leader must have the necessary strength to step aside and support a young team that will carry forward the values of social democracy”Stroe also said.
Felix Stroe stated that he is sure that all his colleagues are ready for a “construction of future” and that he will be with them, supporting them permanently.
“I thank those who have been involved in the activities of the branch and I assure them that they will find in me an interlocutor involved in the problems of the PSD Constanța County Organization”the representative of PSD Constanța also sent.
And the leader of the PNL Constanța county organization, deputy Bogdan Huțucă, announced this week his resignation from the position held in the PNL branch.
