The Romanian language and literature subjects from the 2024 National Assessment exam assess students' ability to understand a text of various types, the ability to express themselves in writing and to use the Romanian language correctly, appropriately and effectively in the production of written messages.
Romanian curriculum National Evaluation 2024. Competences
In this national exam, among the general and specific skills are the reception of various types of written text, writing a text, the correct, appropriate and effective use of language in the process of oral and written communication, the expression of one's own linguistic and cultural identity in a national and international context .
Receiving the written text involves:
– Identifying important information, theme, main/secondary ideas from literary and non-literary texts;
– Correlation of explicit and implicit information from these texts;
– Recognizing the ways in which information is organized;
– Presentation of personal, critical or creative responses on various texts;
– Comparison of different points of view expressed on the side of various texts;
– Comparison of at least two texts in terms of theme, ideas and structure; Evaluation of information and communication intentions from literary and non-literary texts;
– Arguing points of view on the edge of two or more texts of various types, considering the possibility of multiple interpretations.
Editing the written text
– Writing a summary or a text, simple or complex, considering the stages of the writing process and the specific structures, to communicate ideas and information or to relate lived or imagined experiences;
– Writing a complex text, in which the student expresses his/her reasoned points of view, on various topics or with reference to various texts read;
– Suitability of the written text to the situation and the purpose of communication;
– The texts must be correct, legible, coherent, clear and original.
Correct, appropriate and effective use of language
– Using acquisitions of syntax, morphology, phonetics, lexicon and semantics by reference to modern languages;
– The use of acquisitions regarding complex morphosyntactic structures of the literary Romanian language, for correct understanding and nuanced expression of communicative intentions;
– Application of linguistic acquisitions for understanding and producing various texts;
– Conscious application of orthographic and orthographic rules and conventions for correct communication;
– Writing some texts, capitalizing on logical and analogical thinking (analysis, synthesis, generalization and abstraction) by using correct communication skills in the literary Romanian language.
Expressing one's own linguistic and cultural identity in a national and international context
– Identification of some cultural values promoted in the texts of Romanian authors from different historical periods;
– Associating own life and reading experiences with those from other cultures;
– Comparison of common elements identified in one's own culture and in the culture of other peoples or of Romanian traditions with traditions from other cultures;
– Arguing a point of view regarding cultural values or specific elements of the national culture and the culture of other peoples.
Romanian curriculum National Assessment 2024. General topics
Reading. Students need to know what key words, main idea, secondary idea, theme mean; the simple plan of ideas; the developed plan of ideas. They must have notions about narrative, descriptive, dialogue, explanatory, argumentative text. Candidates must master the rhyme, the stanza, the measure of the verses, the rhythm, but also the types of epic, lyrical, dramatic text and performance art.
Editing. Students must know the simple plan of ideas, the developed plan of ideas, the summary, the transformation of direct speech into indirect speech. They must be able to comment on certain passages from the texts read, describe certain emotions, be able to characterize a character.
What students need to know in Grammar
Students must have notions about statement, phrase, syntactic constructions, predicate, subject, complement, verb, preposition, subjunctives, pronouns, adjectives and their degrees of comparison, adverbs, numerals, interjections. Students must master notions of orthography and spelling, vocabulary, stylistic variety.
