The Romanian team, medalist at the International Biology Olympiad in Kazakhstan: two bronze medals and a mention

Romanian students won two bronze medals and a mention at the 35th edition of the International Biology Olympiad, which takes place from July 6-14, in Astana, Kazakhstan.

According to an announcement made by the Ministry of Education on Facebook, Romania was represented by Teodor Cârloanța, National College “Dragoş Vodă” Campulung Moldovenesc, bronze medal; Ioana-Noemi Munteanu, 11th grade at “Vasile Alecsandri” Bacau National College, bronze medal; Ionuţ Dumitru Adrian Găvănescu, twelfth grade at “Tudor Vladimirescu” National College Târgu Jiu, mention; Mihai Manta, 12th grade at “IL Caragiale National College”, Ploiesti, participation diploma.

“The preparation of the batch for the high level of the competition included intensive theoretical study sessions, practical works and exam simulations, under the guidance of the teaching staff from the Faculty of Biology and Geology of the Babeş-Bolyai University in Cluj-Napoca, with the support of the Cluj County School Inspectorate and of the Ministry of Education.
