Having reached its fourth season, the “Reacher” series climbed to the first position in the ranking of the most watched productions on Prime Video. The series inspired by the novels of Lee Child returns with a new case, a large-scale conspiracy and more action scenes than in previous seasons.
The new season premiered on Wednesday, August 12, and Prime Video initially only released the first three episodes. The next chapters of the story will be released weekly every Wednesday until September 16th.
The success is not necessarily a surprise, given that the previous season of the production was among the most watched series on Prime Video, and the return of Alan Ritchson in the role of the main character increased the audience’s interest in the new story.
Alan Ritchson once again plays Jack Reacher, a former major in the US military police who has become a lone vigilante who constantly finds himself in the middle of complicated situations.
For season 4, the writers turned to one of Lee Child’s well-known novels. The story is inspired by “Gone Tomorrow”, a book published in 2009.
The new case begins after a seemingly random encounter in a subway turns into a dramatic event and introduces Reacher into a conspiracy with far greater implications than he could have anticipated.
“When a chance encounter with a disturbed stranger on the subway takes a dramatic turn, Jack Reacher is drawn into a deadly game that brings him face to face with ruthless adversaries from the highest echelons of power.”is the official description provided by Prime Video.
This time, the protagonist ends up investigating a situation involving people in important positions, and the case forces him to face extremely dangerous opponents.
Fans of the series will not only get a new story. Alan Ritchson revealed that the production of the fourth season involved an impressive amount of fight scenes.
