The show from PROTV that takes a break after more than 20 years of broadcasting. “There’s enough hustle and bustle around”

After 44 consecutive seasons, Apropo TV, one of Pro TV’s longest-running satire shows, is taking a break. The announcement was made by the production team through a post on the show’s official Facebook page.

According to the online message, the decision comes from the desire to rethink the format and prepare a relaunch adapted to the times.

“After 44 seasons of apropos, where we’ve always reinvented ourselves on the fly, this year we allowed ourselves to take a season off. Because we’re really trying to stay relevant and current. And for that we need a little more preparation time. We’re not quite at the age of the hey-ups of yesteryear, and since PRO TV was nice enough to allow us to do that, we said that the spring of 2026 is the best time. We are trying to do everything with the discretion and elegance that have established us. Because, let’s be honest, there is enough commotion around. That is what was missing, and our drills started to roar, in this whole context.” it is shown on the show’s Facebook page.

The team has not yet announced an exact return date, but promises that the break is temporary.

“We promise to keep you updated and come back as soon as we finish all the preparations, as tall and blonde as you knew us. And we’re glad to hear ‘from the sources’ that you miss us. We guarantee that we take it very personally and thank you very much, for sure!”

By the way, TV was a self-financed production, and the decision to stop broadcasting belongs exclusively to the team led by Andi Moisescu, notes Paginademedia.ro.

The difficulties Apropo TV has faced in the past

Apropo TV, presented by Andi Moisescu for over two decades, has faced funding problems in the past, according to the quoted source.

In 2016, the show was on the verge of dropping out of the Pro TV grid after failing to attract sponsors. The station had already decided in 2015 that the production would be self-financed in order to stay on the station. The show eventually returned to the grid in the spring of that year.
