The success story of a social business has reached documentary and is now on the big screens TRAILER

After more than 4 years since the first meeting between the director Șerban Georgescu and Irina Sorescu, the founder of the MamaPan bakery, the story full of strength, sensitivity and courage of one of the few social businesses in Romania reaches the big screens in 4 cities in the country – Bucharest , Cluj, Sibiu and Galați.

The documentary Our daily bread had its preview in the country on March 14, at the Muzeul Tăranului Cinema, in the presence of the Kolectiv Film team and the protagonists of the film – Irina Sorescu and Corina Munteanu, the founders of MamaPan, Andreea, Adriana and Luminița – the 3 employees who had the courage to share their life stories in front of the camera operated by Bogdan Slăvescu. “The documentary gathers, with measure and rigor, with sensitivity and empathy (both 'sprinkled' – as they say – with a cracked humor, but still not slipping into cynicism or revolt), with tenderness and artistic devotion, all this unbearable face of misery and suffering, cast in a remarkable and encouraging film about not giving up.” (LiterNet) or “Şerban Georgescu invites the audience on an intimate journey into the lives of women in difficult situations, revealing the determination to redefine their destinies in a society marked by inequalities.” (Modern Times Review) are some of the words critics have used to describe our daily bread.

The documentary was very warmly received by the spectators present at the preview, at the end of the screening at the Peasant Museum Cinema, the applause resounded for minutes, being accompanied by tears and smiles alike from the almost full hall, reinforcing the words of Oana Muntean, the executive producer of the film: “I would like this documentary to change in those who will go to see it especially the perception of those around them. We too easily label and judge without the slightest interest in understanding how and why. I think it's a film that can open eyes and hearts.”
