The plate received by a tourist from Vama Veche – Photo Facebook
Gastronomic experiences in Vama Veche are more and more marked by unpleasant incidents. Recently, a tourist who visited the local fish market with the intention of enjoying a grilled fish had an unpleasant surprise: he found only bones in the plate, informs Replica de Constanța.
The image posted on Facebook suggests that the fish served was, in fact, leftovers from another customer, reused by cherhanala employees instead of being prepared a fresh new portion.
The tourist treated the experience with humor, posting on social media the photo of the leftover fish and adding a wry comment: “It ain’t much, but at least it’s expensive”, i.e. “It’s not much, but at least it’s expensive.“
The post has garnered over two thousand likes and hundreds of comments. The tourist continued to make fun of the trouble and in the comments saying that he received “trout from Temu” or “scrumbie after 237 years in Vaslui“. Several tourists have complained in the comments about the services of the terrace in Vama Veche, but also about the stinging prices on the seaside. Other internet users have recommended other restaurants in the area.
The unpleasant experience of the tourist at the cherhana in Vama Veche coincides with another story from the weekend, when another Romanian revealed the exaggerated prices at a local terrace. He paid 629 lei for a lunch, including 19 lei for a simple cabbage salad and the same amount for a 750 ml mineral water.
Recently, the general director of the National Authority for Consumer Protection (ANPC), Paul Anghel, highlighted in a post on Facebook how the price of a bottle of water can jump from approximately 2.5 lei to 16 lei in a resort from Black Sea.
