The Swedish prosecutor’s office confirms an investigation for rape, after the information circulated by the media regarding Kylian Mbappe

The Swedish prosecutor’s office confirmed on Tuesday that a rape investigation is underway after the passage of football player Kylian Mbappe and his entourage through the Swedish capital, without citing the name of the French player.

It is about a reaction to media information targeting the star of the Real Madrid team, reports AFP, quoted by Agerpres

“Following the publication in the media of a suspected rape in Stockholm, the prosecutor can confirm that a complaint of rape has been registered by the police and ‘an investigation’ is underway”‘, indicated the Public Prosecutor’s Office in a press release.

The rape allegedly took place on October 10, in a hotel in the city center.

According to Expressen and Aftonbladet, French star Kylian Mbappe is under investigation by the Swedish police for “rape and sexual assault”.

The famous French footballer declared himself the victim of a “fake news” on Monday.

“Fake News!!!” reacted the player of the Real Madrid team on the social network X, establishing a link between the Aftonbladet article and his scheduled hearing on Tuesday before the Mixed Appeal Commission of the French Professional Football League (LFP), after the appeal of the Parisian club forced by the League to- pay Mbappe the amount of 55 million euros derived from unpaid wages and other premiums claimed by his former star.

Aftonbladet writes that Mbappe was on Thursday evening with a group of people at the Chez Jolie restaurant, a local in the Swedish capital, before going to the V club, where he met other people.

The rape allegedly took place on Thursday evening in central Stockholm, according to a complaint that Aftonbladet claims to have consulted.
