The Government adopted, in Friday’s meeting, the Government Decision regarding the approval of the certification as a tourist resort of national interest of the city of Novaci, Gorj county, of some localities or parts of localities as tourist resorts of local interest and for the modification of annex no. 5 to Government Decision no. 852/2008 for the approval of the rules and criteria for the attestation of tourist resorts, writes News.
“Novaciul and Rânca were declared today as a tourist resort of national interest. Rânca is, for me, one of those places that every Romanian should fall in love with. It has a beauty that takes your breath away, huge potential, but also needs real development, attention and investments. Today we took an important step in this direction: the Government approved the decision that I initiated, by which the town of Novaci, including the Rânca area, becomes a tourist resort of national interest”wrote, on Facebook, the Minister of Economy, Digitalization, Entrepreneurship and Tourism, Radu Miruţă.
Originally from Novaci, Miruţă states that he had “an additional emotion” to be the minister whose signature is on the document certifying the city as a resort of national interest.
The minister explains what a station of national interest actually means:
- Priority access to government and European funding;
- Priority for infrastructure projects;
- Increasing attractiveness for investors;
- National and international promotion;
- Local development and a better standard of living for people.
“It’s good news for Gorj, for Romanian tourism and for all those who believe that Romania deserves to value its truly special places. Novaciul and Rânca are finally going up whereit’s worth it”, the minister also wrote.
