The TV station that will broadcast the feature film “Anul nou carre na bost” on December 21

“Anul nou care na bost”, a film directed, written and produced by Bogdan Mureşanu, will be broadcast for the first time on the small screens, Saturday, December 21, from 21:00, on TVR 1. The feature film is broadcast simulcast on TVR Internaţional and TVR Moldova.

This feature film conquered the international scene, receiving two prestigious awards at the Venice International Film Festival: the FIPRESCI Award, awarded by the jury of the International Federation of Film Critics, and the Bisato d’Oro 2024 Award for Best Screenplay, offered by independent critics . The FIPRESCI award was motivated by the fact that the film manages to deeply explore human behavior influenced by the fear of political repression, bringing to the fore a sophisticated, captivating and artistically balanced story, writes news.ro.

Also, Boroka Biro, the cinematographer of the film, was awarded the special mention for image Premio Autrici under 40 “Valentina Pedicini”a recognition of his outstanding talent.

“The New Year That Wasn’t” is a tragicomedy that captures the lives of six characters whose destinies intersect in a single day, around the Revolution of 1989. The film offers an intense and emotional perspective on Romania’s recent history, addressing both those who lived under the communist regime , as well as to the new generations who discover this period through history books.

The cast of the film brings together some of the most popular Romanian actors of the moment: Adrian Văncică, Iulian Postelnicu, Emilia Dobrin, Mihai Călin, Nicoleta Hâncu, Marian Râlea, Ioana Flora, Ada Galeş and many others.

A Kinotopia Romania production, the feature film was made in co-production with: SRTV (Romanian Television Company), All Inclusive Films (Serbia) and in association with Chainsaw Europe. The project benefited from funding from the Ministry of Culture, the National Center of Cinematography, the Romanian Cultural Institute, the Romanian Institute of Culture and Humanistic Research, DACIN SARA, UCIN.
