The unique message of Nadia Comăneci, on the Day of the Union of the Romanian Principalities

Nadia Comăneci celebrates the day of the unification of the Romanian Principalities in a unique way and wanted to convey to the Romanians “Happy Birthday”.

The legendary gymnast posted a video on the social networks, in which he appears in a gym wearing a blouse with a traditional print, while singing and dancing on the well-known song “Trandafir from Moldova”.

Along with the video spot, Nadia Comăneci wrote on Facebook: “Happy Birthday, Romania! January 24 – Union of the Romanian Principalities (Moldova and the Romanian Country), which led to the establishment of modern Romania ”.

The small union is celebrated on January 24 and represents a significant moment in the history of the country. In 1859, the Romanian Country and Moldova joined under a single ruler, Alexandru Ioan Cuza.
