Intervision, the Soviet alternative to Eurovision, held between 1965 and 1980 in communist Czechoslovakia. The relaunch of the competition in 2025 belongs to Vladimir Putin, who named Deputy Prime Minister Dmitri Cernișcenko President of the Organization Committee. The event will take place in Moscow on September 20.

Russia, excluded from Eurovision following the invasion of Ukraine in 2022, will send its own favorite: the pro-war singer Shaman (Iaroslav Iurevici Dronov), sanctioned by the European Union for participating in propaganda concerts organized by Kremlin.

Among the participating countries are Belarus, Kyrgyzstan, Venezuela, Cuba, Qatar, Kazakhstan, but also Serbia, although it is candidate for the EU and still present at Eurovision.

The Ukrainian Ministry of Foreign Affairs reacted harshly, cataloging the right event “A hostile propaganda tool and a means of hiding the aggressive policy of the Russian Federation”.

Who is B. Howard

The US representative, Brandon Howard, is a R&B and Pop artist who has been in the center of the speculation related to his alleged blood connection with Michael Jackson. The father of the American star, Joe Jackson, was his mother’s manager, singer Miki Howard.

Intervision organizers enthusiastically announced Howard’s participation, stating on Telegram that his music “Outs the borders and unites the crops”.

Rumors and inconclusive tests

The physical similarities between Howard and Michael Jackson have long fueled speculation. In 2014, the Filmon.com platform claimed that it has evidence of paternity, but the tests were later listed as inconclusive.

In the same year, singer Akon declared in an interview for Larry King that, after working with both Jackson and Howard, he is convinced that the latter is the son of King Pop. And artist Aaron Carter also stated in a 2021 interview, awarded Vlad TV, that B. Howard would be Michael Jackson’s son.

Howard was born in 1981, while Michael Jackson was 23.
