The winner of the first category prize, in the amount of 4,511,066.80 lei (over 900,000 euros), obtained in the additional Loto 6/49 draw of December 1, 2024, collected his prize.

The lucky player appeared on Thursday, December 5, at the head office of the Romanian Lottery, to claim the amount.
“Play, believe and you will win! That’s how I did it” the player confessed, according to the Romanian Lottery.
The winner, who did not want to make his identity public, is from Piatra Neamț and has been passionate about lotto games for over 20 years.

He found out that he won the big prize the day after the lotto draws, when he checked the ticket played and consulted the results on the Romanian Lottery website www.loto.ro.
The daredevil player stated that he had a premonition that he would win and that the numbers that made him the winner had a personal meaning.
The lucky ticket – completed with two simple variants of Lotto 6/49 – was played at agency 27-026 in Piatra Neamț and cost 28.50 lei.
