The December concerts of the series Kálnoky Castle Concerts
they bring a discreet and special charm to the winter holidays. Chamber concert series, Winter Specials mark the special moments of the year: St. Nicholas, Christmas and the end of the year! There will be three evenings full of light and warm atmosphere, where classical music will fuse with iconic songs of the pop, soul and rock genres.

December is the month of family, soulful moments and music, and the series Winter Specials pay homage to this state. On December 6, the concert Heart and Soul Classics: Sting & Whitney Houston Cover will bring to the stage the immortal hits of two modern legends, performed by Diana Ichim (piano) and Gábor Előd (violin). tracks Fields of Gold, Shape of My Heart,
I Will Always Love You and Greatest Love of All they will fill the historic space of the castle with emotion and elegance. Tickets cost 250 lei and include a buffet dinner with a special selection of desserts.
In the heart of the holidays, on December 25, the concert The Beatles’ Christmas
carries the message of love and peace. Szőcs Botond (piano) and Magdalena Suciu (violin) will bring the classics back to life Let It Be, Yesterday and All You Need Is Lovein an intimate Christmas atmosphere. The concert celebrates the combined force of music and holiday spirit, that moment when songs become a place of the soul. Tickets cost 350 lei per person and include a buffet dinner.
On the last day of the year, on December 31, the explosive energy of the concert New Year’s Rock Ballads it will fill the space in the castle cellar. The legendary ballads of Scorpions, Metallica, AC/DC, Bon Jovi, Tina Turner will be performed by Szőcs Botond (piano), Magdalena Suciu (violin) and Gáspár Csaba (cello). Wind of Change, Nothing Else Matters, You’re the Voice and Livin’ on a Prayer will provide a spectacular end to the year. Tickets cost 500 lei per person and include a dinner with main course and buffet.
The concerts start at 19:30. Tickets can be purchased in advance from eventim.ro. Guests can park in front of the Stone Pub. Each concert is structured in two parts, separated by a 10-minute break.

Throughout 2025, the cultural project aimed to transform the castle into a vibrant space where tradition merged with innovation, culture, supporting local artists and strengthening the community. Thus, Count Tibor’s castle Kalnoky became in 2025 not only a place of the past, but a living artistic space that created memorable experiences for guests from Romania and the whole world.
