Toni Greblă: The military parade on December 1 does not confuse the conduct of the elections

The military parade on December 1 does not in any way confuse the conduct of the elections, Toni Greblă, the president of the Permanent Electoral Authority (AEP), said on Tuesday.

“It can be easily consecrated and for an hour, half an hour, to go to the polling station”, said Toni Greblă.

How parliamentary elections are conducted

The parliamentary elections will take place on December 1 in the country, and abroad, Romanians can vote both on November 30 and on December 1.

Voting starts at 7 am and the polls will close at 9 pm. In exceptional cases, the president of the polling station office can extend voting until 11:59 p.m.

Voters in the country vote only in the precincts of the street or town where they live.

Romanians abroad can vote by mail

Materials with useful information for Romanian voters were placed at international airports in the country. If they will be abroad, they can vote by mail by accessing www.votstrainatate.ro, where they must register.

The Permanent Electoral Authority started, as early as 2023, a campaign to inform Romanian voters abroad about the 2024 elections.
