Things went well for the “tricolor” for 42 minutes, during which the Romanian had several safe interventions, but also a scoring opportunity in which he preferred to cross instead of shooting at the goal.

3 minutes before the end of the first half, Tottenham found themselves on the scoreboard, after a brilliant phase by the hosts, in which Radu Drăgușin unmarked Muniz, and he scored from inside the box, with a shot to the long corner. If internet fans were vehement with Drăgușin, the British press did not see him at his weakest on the field. “He was precise and calm with the ball at his feet, but he lost Muniz at a vital moment. Micky van de Ven probably would have handled the cross that led to the goal better. He looked slightly tired at the end of the first match as a full-time player”, wrote the London journalists from the London Evening Standard, who gave him a grade 5, in the team's average. His defensive colleague, the Argentinian Romero, received the lowest grade in the Londoners' formation.

After this defeat, Tottenham are 5th in the Premier League with 53 points and have a chance to grab the Champions League next season, with England very close to getting an extra place thanks to the UEFA coefficient.
