The capital will host, on Saturday, the second edition of the BCR Bucharest 10K Grand Prix, which will bring together two competitive running races of 5km and 10km respectively.

For the smooth running of the event, road restrictions will be applied as follows:
• Friday, June 28, at 2:00 p.m. – Sunday, June 30, at 8:00 p.m. – Libertății Boulevard (between the Piața Constituției ramps, direction from Calea 13 Septembrie to Bulevardul Năționor Unite) – finishing/moving works will be carried out in the Finish area ;
• Saturday, June 29, the routes of the 5 km and 10 km Individual races as well as on the streets that access them in the time interval 17.00-23.30;
The competition routes on Saturday, June 29 and the starting times are described below:
5km Individual race, starting at 19.00 START – START-Bd. Libertăţii (Piața Constituții), left shoulder of Piața Constituției, right Unirii Boulevard, National Library of Romania, right IC Brătianu Boulevard, left Independence Splaiul (oncoming traffic) turn 180 degrees at the intersection- Libertății Boulevard-Piața Constituției-ARRIVAL. The start for runners with special abilities will be at 18.45.
10 km Individual race, starting at 9:00 p.m. START – Libertății Boulevard (Constitution Square), left side of Constitution Square, right Unirii Boulevard, Alba Iulia Square, right Decebal Boulevard, turn 180 degrees on the pedestrian crossing from the intersection with the Square Muncii/Hurmuzachi (without affecting traffic from the intersection), continue Decebal Boulevard, right onto Unirii Boulevard, right onto ICBrătianu Boulevard, left Splaiul Independentiei – (oncoming traffic) turn 180 degrees at the intersection with Pod Hașdeu (without affecting traffic from the intersection), right Libertății Boulevard, Constitution Square – ARRIVAL. The start for runners with special abilities will be at 20.45.
The traffic arteries will be reopened to road traffic sequentially, depending on the position of the last runner who falls within the regulation time of the competition.
The following detours are recommended:
for the south-north relationship (north-south) you can go through the Unirea passage – ICBrătianu bld – University Square – Roman Square – Victoriei Square – Aviatorilor bld – Charles de Gaulle Square – Prezan Bldg – Arcului de Triumf Square, Kiseleff Road – Square Presei Libere or bul Aviatorilor – continuation to bul Aerogarii – DN 1,
– Mihai Bravu Road – Muncii Passage – Bucur Obor Passage – Ștefan cel Mare Road or Viilor Road – Progresului Road – Grozăvești Road – Basarab Passage – Ion Mihalache Road – Triumf Arc Square;
– București Ploiești Road – Kiseleff Road – Arc of Triumf Square – Prezan Blvd – Aviatorilor Blvd – Victoriei Blvd – Roman Square – University Square – ICBrătianu Blvd – Unirea Passage;
– Bucuresti Ploiesti Road – Aerogării Boulevard – Aviator Alexandru Șerbărescu Street – Barbu Văcărescu Boulevard – Ștefan cel Mare Road – Bucur Obor Passage – Mihai Bravu Road – Muncii Passage – Mihai Bravu Road – Calea Văcărești;
For the west-east connection, it is recommended to use the Unirii Passage, the Victoriei Passage or the Basarab Passage using the following routes:
– Regina Maria bld – 11 Iunie str. – Mărășești bld – Dimitrie Cantemir bld – Unirea bld – ICBrătianu bld – University Square – Carol bld;
– Nicolae Titulescu Road – Victoriei Passage – Iancu de Hunedoara bld – Ștefan cel Mare Road;
– Grozăvești or Vasile Milea Road – Basarab Passage – Banu Manta Blvd – Ion Mihalache Blvd – Alexandru Averescu Blvd – Arcului de Triumf Square – Constantin Prezan Blvd – Dorobantilor Street – Ștefan cel Mare Blvd.
The road restrictions and the segments subject to these restrictions as well as the alternative routes will be taken over by the most important mobility applications, Waze and TomTom.
The routes for all races start in the center of Bucharest, in Piața Constituției, and the maps are available on the website www.bucuresti10km.ro, but also in the RunRomania application (available for both Android and iOS, on www.runromania.com ).
