Laura Chiriac presented the first show on Sunday, January 12, writes Paginademedia.ro. Asked about these changes, Tudor Mușat talks about changes in the approach of the B1 TV station.
“Starting today (January 13), I no longer do the show on B1 TV. The approach, different from the journalistic one so far, the direction the station proposes for this prime time show, the speech and the tone it wants, also different from the values promoted so far, are not elements with which I resonate professional and personal.
Invoking the need for a larger audience should not justify, in my opinion, resorting to the model of the two televisions on the market advertised for a certain type of speech”, he wrote this on Facebook.
The TV producer also said that “he didn’t want to go through with it” of the new plan from B1 TV.
“We have been discussing for several weeks about this plan, which I did not want to follow through on, and I understand that the person to play this role was still found. I choose to remain dedicated to journalism and the only form of “activism” that I agree to practice is only in favor of this profession”. he added.
Contacted by Paginademedia.ro, Sorin Oancea, the shareholder of B1 TV, said that it is a “change in TV consumption habits, to which we must adapt” and that he will analyze together with Tudor Muşat other “types of formats and projects“.
“At the moment I am not interested in any other project with B1 TV“, the journalist also stated, adding that this week he is resuming the show “Piaţa Victoriei” on Europa FM.
Tudor Muşat has been at B1 TV since April 1, 2019. He was also a producer at Digi24 from March 2014 until February 2019, when the RCS-owned news station decided not to renew his contract. Before that, Muşat moderated shows at the news channel Realitatea TV.
