Cluj University, the only team in the play-offs that has never won the championship, is on a high this season. Cristiano Bergodi’s students reached the first place in the Superliga, after the unconvincing victory on the field of FC Argeș.

The goalkeeper of the violets is the first player of FC Argeș to be called up to the first national team in the last 17 years, after Cristian Tănase wore the national jersey in 2009 as a player of the “eagles” from Pitesti.
