Unreal scenes at the Cluj derby. Coach Bergodi slapped and punched two players of the opposing team

On Saturday evening, CFR Cluj achieved its seventh consecutive victory, this season’s record, after beating compatriot Universitatea 3-2. It was a superb match, overshadowed by the scenes at the end, when the away supporters went wild and coach Cristiano Bergodi caused an uproar rarely seen in football.

Daniel Pancu’s students scored three times, with the help of the opponents, who gave the ball to Djokovic (5), Biliboc (10) and Camora (43). On the other side, the “Red Caps” replied with the goals of Nistor (29) and Drammeh (83). At the end, the Cluj University fans started throwing everything they could into the field – chairs, flags, water bottles, and even a firecracker that, at its peak, almost hit one of their players. Immediately after the final whistle, they forced the gate to enter the pitch to tussle with their rivals from the CFR, but the law enforcement officers held them back and removed them with tear gas.

Then the debandada also started at the level of the field. The coach Cristiano Bergodi, taken out of his mind by the provocative joy or a swearing by Andrei Cordea, grabbed the player by the neck and tried to slap him. Muhar intervened, who received a few punches from the Italian technician, barely held by a few people from his own staff. Bergodi received a red card and calmed down after good minutes in which he was simply immobilized by his collaborators.
