Russell Brand, actor and former comedian became influencer online, was sent to British justice for serious rape and sexual aggression. He was present on Friday at the Westminster Tribunal, where he was released on a short hearings, Agerpres reports.

The 49-year-old Brand spoke only to confirm his name, date of birth and address. He then listened, without reacting, the charges read by the court.

Accused of violating two women and sexually assaulted two others, the facts would have happened between 1999 and 2005, in London and Bournemouth in southern England. The next hearing is scheduled for May 30, at the Old Bailey Tribunal, known for the judgment of major criminal offenses.

Dressed in a open black shirt and wearing sunglasses, Brand did not make statements on his arrival and departure from the court, avoiding journalists and cameras.

This was the first official hearing in his criminal case.

Immediately after the defendant Russell Brand posted a video recording on the social networks in which he rejected all the charges:
