Nicușor Dan, an independent candidate for the presidential elections, kneaded cozonacs in a confectionery laboratory in Bucharest. His visit took place on Friday, April 18.
He put his hand on the cozonac dough, kneaded and modeled. He smiled, interacted with the employees and discussed the production processes and the challenges in the industry, especially in the busy context of the holidays, when the demand for pastry products explodes.
“What do you do too. Because Easter comes, I tell you in advance: Christ has risen! To bring me a tray, I have my method,” Nicușor Dan joked in a video posted on his Tiktok account.
He congratulated the team for the activity carried out: “I want to congratulate you that you are a factory in Romania that makes products for the Romanian market. We are around Easter and I was curious to tell you how the cozonac is made in a big factory. I am glad I was here.”
In addition to the kneading cozonacs in the laboratory, the presidential candidate had discussions with the employees, asking what the Romanian state can do to support the food industry, as well as the small local businesses.
