At the last concert of the “Music of the Spheres” tour in Melbourne, Coldplay’s Chris Martin had an accident. While speaking to the audience on stage at Marvel Stadium, he fell into a hole.

Before falling into the hole, fans captured footage of Chris Martin reading the messages on their posters and even interacting with the audience. Luckily, someone was in the pit on stage and caught Martin just before he hit the ground, saving him from serious injury. The audience gasped before Martin said: “This is not planned, thank you for catching me, so much! Damn thanks guys!”

In the space of just three weeks, two international stars have suffered spectacular falls on stages in Melbourne. American pop singer Olivia Rodrigo also fell from the same stage. Coldplay’s world tour will make a stop in Sydney at the Accor Stadium, where the band will perform several shows.
