“Today I went to my parliamentary office in the city of Murgeni, where AUR Murgeni members trespassed and showed physical and verbal violence against me, using insults and threats.
George Simion again resorted to methods of physical violence, as he has accustomed us, this time giving orders to others.
AUR promotes violence!“, says the post made public on Sunday, August 15, by Raisa Enachi on Facebook.
Later, one day after the incident, the deputy took the floor in the Chamber of Deputies plenary session and spoke about the incident that happened in her office in the city of Murgeni, Vaslui county.
“I would like to inform you of a serious incident that happened yesterday at my parliamentary office in the city of Murgeni, Vaslui county. Councilors AUR members, sympathizers of George Simion, along with those who deals with the AUR branch of the city of Murgeni, as well as the county organization, which in February illegally took over the county branch of Vaslui, illegally occupied my parliamentary office in the city of Murgeni”said on Monday, August 16, deputy Raisa Enachi.
“Worse was the fact that I was hit, beaten by these AUR member councilors and sympathizers in my own parliamentary office, in front of the local police authorities, and at their suggestion I was asked to leave the city for my own safety, as I was said that the law is not on my side and that the authorities cannot intervene“, added the deputy.
The GOLD reaction
“At my insistence I was escorted by the Police to leave the town of Murgeni, an extreme measure to protect my physical integrity. It is unacceptable for a parliamentarian to be attacked in such a manner and in such mockery, and the authorities can do nothing, absolutely nothing. I request the immediate intervention of the authorities to end these abuses and ensure my protection. We cannot allow violence, intimidation and rape of individuals to be part of Romanian politics. If we as parliamentarians are under attack and the law is not on our side, then what can we expect from the common people. Here we have a leader who wants and participates in the presidential election. How will it feel and what will be the priorities for Romanian society? Violence can spread and threaten everyone’s safety“, Raisa Enachi also transmitted.
Regarding the accusations launched by Enachi, the representatives of the Alliance for the Union of Romanians (AUR) sent: “The quarrel of the member of parliament affiliated with SOS Romania is with the owner of the building in question, where she has not paid her rent for more than two years, not with the current members of AUR. We ask the authorities to shed light on this case and if it is found that any AUR member will be found responsible for acts of violence, he will definitely be expelled from the party”.
