Nicușor Dan and George Simion have known each other for two decades, more precisely from the time when they both participated in protests related to urbanism, in the Capital. In 2012, the two were taken together to the gendarmes, to be legitimized.
Around 30 young people gathered, in October 2012, near the Matache Hall, in Bucharest, and started to go around the building, because they had no protest authorization, according to Antena 3 CNN.
More gendarmes in uniforms but also in civilian, approached the group and began to look for The “protest organizer”.
The gendarmerie that appears in the filming at that time is trying to legitimize the two current presidential candidates: Nicușor Dan, at that time the president of the “Save Bucharest” Association, and George Simion, who films the entire interaction with the representatives of the gendarmerie.
Gendarm, to Nicușor Dan and George Simion: Come on a little to the car/Mr. George, please go to the car.
George Simion: Yes what to do there? Why should I go there?
Nicușor Dan, to the gendarmerie: “Many of these people know me. We asked us to come here to walk, in individual groups, around the hall. Because people have not been seen for a long time, they were grouped to talk to each other. If we tell them to leave and everyone walks individually, we take pictures and drawings.
George Simion: I want my bulletin back. Isn’t it normal to want my bulletin back?
Gendarme: The bulletin can be detained by the order organ, I note my data and give it to you.
After several minutes in which they are trying to legitimize them, Nicușor Dan and George Simion are invited to the section for discussions.
